How to play Game of Cricket
Run a T20 cricket club from your browser: choose the team, manage its money and make the decisions that shape a season. Here is how to get from your first XI to the playoff race.
1. Start your cricket management career
Choose New Game, name your manager and pick a fictional franchise. Your goal is to win T20 matches, climb the league table and qualify for the playoffs. Each side has up to 20 overs to score, unless it loses ten wickets first.
2. Pick your playing XI
Open Squad and select 11 players, including at least five who can bowl. Compare ratings, form and fitness, and arrange the batting order so your openers come first. A wicketkeeper is recommended. Confirm your XI to move on to the Front Office.
3. Review your club finances
Check ticket prices, projected attendance and sponsor offers in the Front Office. Balance income against player wages and matchday costs. You review finances before every fixture, including away matches; keeping your current prices and contracts is allowed.
4. Choose a manager and set your tactics
Manage the match yourself for free, choosing bowlers and incoming batters when prompted, or hire an affordable manager using club funds to make those choices automatically. Adjust batting aggression to balance scoring intent against wicket risk.
5. Follow every ball and build your season
Watch the score, overs and commentary, pause the action or advance to the end of an over. At the innings break, start your chase or defend your total. Review the final scorecard, league standings and player statistics, then prepare your squad for the next fixture.
Common questions
Is Game of Cricket free to play?
Yes. You can start a career, select your team and play matches for free. Optional rewarded ads may be offered for shortcuts such as auto-picking an XI or skipping to a match result when ads are available.
Do I need an account or a download?
No account or installation is required. The game runs in your browser with JavaScript enabled, and your careers and preferences are stored on this device.
How do I save my progress or change devices?
Completed matches autosave. Finish an active match before refreshing or leaving, because unfinished matches are not saved. Use Settings → Export Save to make a backup, then Continue → Import save to restore it in another browser or on another device. Clearing browser data can remove local saves.
Does the game use real teams and players?
All franchises and players are fictional. Game of Cricket is an independent cricket management simulation.
